Leather repair kit works!
For the most part, I was pleased with this product. I was able to repair a small tear and clean up scratches in a red leather chair. The only difficult part was matching the color. I followed the color chart for mixing the dye and it came out too dark. I did have a spare piece of leather to test it on. Although the color is ok, it is not an exact match.I would recommend the kit. The result is much better than the original condition of the chair.

Nice!
Needed a repair kit for the cat scratches on my leather sectional and I’m glad I picked this one to purchase. I got this kit in the cream color, this is super easy to use, the colors were a bit hard to match and took a few try’s, but overall I’m very happy with the results from this product. Also, comes with everything you need to do different types of repairs. Highly recommend!

Too difficult to use - just call a professional
Bought this kit to repair a one inch tear in a brown leather couch. I had high hopes for this product, having watched the corresponding video on Youtube multiple times, it seemed achievable. But the problem lies with the first step - the patch that is provided in the box is absolute cheap junk. I took my time to apply it but the patch kept falling apart with the threads pulling off of it, ending up all over the couch and my pants. To make it worse, the patch kept bunching up under the tear. To make it easier, I expanded the tear a bit so my pinky finger could try to push the patch flat underneath the tear, but that didn't work. I should have just stopped at that point, but I persisted and when I applied the glue, it all went to pot. The combination of the patch and the glue created a soft paste almost like a bunched up wet paper towel. This paste made it impossible to close the tear and the glue ended up getting on the edges of the tear instead (even though I was careful to start with a very small amount of glue). Now my tear is twice is long and the edges of the tear have glue on them, making it all the more impossible to close. I'm calling a professional to come in, which will cost me $$$ but I should have started there in the first place...

Keeping it clean
Worked well but spots are turning grey. How do you seal it so it stays white.

Product of the year, hands down!!
The media could not be loaded. I bought this Restoration Hardware leather sectional at a deep discount because there were two obvious spots on the seat cushions where it appears tape was put on them and when ripped off pulled off the top layer of the leather. I hoped I’d be able to fix it enough so it wasn’t so obvious.You. Guys. This stuff is INCREDIBLE. After reading other reviews, I spent over an hour futzing with the color to get it just right, and I’m so glad I did. Once I had the color match, application was a breeze. The YouTube videos from the company on how to apply make it easy and clear to follow. It took about 4 thin layer dried with a hairdryer for a minute between each to cover completely.I’m beyond pleased with how this turned out. For me to even show you the “after” on the spots in the photos, I had to run my hand over the leather to feel the texture difference in order to find them. Because it’s more like a flexible paint than a dye, there’s a very subtle difference in how the leather feels. Outside of that you’d never know I repaired this couch... and a guest would never be able to tell the difference in the texture... it’s that subtle.I also included a pull back photo of the whole couch finished so you can see that the finish/satin sheen is a great match too. No need for me to order the matte or glossy finish from the company, though I know they make that too if needed. If you have damage to any leather piece, I’d recommend this 100 times over.

Don't like it.... We Love it.
After contacting company for advise on paint color for a different item sell, they suggested using this kit for a better color match. Good, no, great advise. Completed the repair in about two hours. Still need to apply 1 final coat but even without it is still better than I ever anticipated. The Eames Chair (expensive reproduction) in the photos is one of two pieces of furniture that is in a room that dogs and cats aren't allowed. We have had chair for years and not a scratch on it until a pair of wired headphones overheated causing this damage in a single day. Can now again enjoy the chair again. Elated!!!
