Greece, Greek Chios (Xios) Mastic Gum ( Mastiha or Mastixa ) 50 Gr Box New

I received this product today (9/4/2018). Took about 16 or so days to arrive after I received shipping confirmation. The box is smaller than I thought: 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 3/4". The product is shipped from Greece. The tears/chunks of mastic are white and were not stuck together. The expiration date on the box is 06/2021. I put 3 small pieces of the mastic in my mouth and allowed them to soften before I began to chew. I chewed lightly at first, avoiding having the mastic stick to my teeth: Yes it will stick to your teeth. After about an hour, the mastic was soft enough to chew like regular chewing gum. The taste of the mastic is agreeable, having a very slight lemon-like taste, not an overwhelming flavor, but noticeable. Other reviewers say the mastic tastes like pine. The mastic doesn't dissolve. From what I read on an answered question for the 100 gram box of mastic, the gum will eventually disintegrate after chewing for awhile. I guess that I haven't chewed long enough. After two hours of chewing, the mastic hasn't disintegrated. Someone wanted to know what the nutrition content of the mastic gum is, so I included a picture of the reverse side of the box. I bought this product to see if it will help with digestive issues. I'll have to wait and see if it helps. I gave 5 stars because the product arrived as expected and as advertised.

This gum is excellent for dental health. It's little hard stones that chews into a tough chewing gum and you get a lot in a package. I am very happy with it and will order it again. I was also happy with the speed and professionalism of the seller. They sent me a photo of my package ready for shipping the day after I placed my order.

Arrived all mashed together and hard as a rock. Extremely irritated to have spent such a high price for unchewable gum that cannot be returned.

This the real mastic, Take awhile to get to the US. But worth it , and there is cool greek stamps on the package.

I chew it after meals to settle my stomach, it works wonders.Also I recently had oral surgery and found that the slight chewing helped relax my jaw muscles- added benefit!

Just wonder why this product cannot be created/made in the U.S.? Price seems a little hefty, but considering how far it traveled to reach me, it's a deal.

This product is what I wanted, however, waiting months to receive it was not worth the wait. Will never order again.
