Super easy to install. There are lots of videos online to explain the process. The battery was installed into the original JBL Xtreme and it works flawlessly.

Perfect size, looked on you tube for installation. Pretty easy.

It wasn't easy to install, but totally doable and a very satisfying solution.The battery has worked well for the past year.

As many others have experienced, my original JBL Xtreme battery would not hold a charge....sometimes it would show as charging, then fully charged...but would last only 2 minutes or so before going from 5-led lights of battery to off.The speaker itself worked fine otherwise so I would just use it plugged in the whole time. This worked for a while but was annoying as the whole point of the Xtreme is for it to be portable.This kit comes with the battery, a small pry tool, and a small screwdriver. The pry tool is good enough and definitely needed to get the outer cover off and to release some of the clips.The screwdriver is cheap (as expected) BUT it was nice b/c it had a longer shaft that was thin enough to reach down the recessed screw holes...was nice not having to find one that worked (plus I wasn't at home when I did the battery swap so it worked out well).I'd highly recommend watching a YouTube video walk-through on how to disassemble the JBL Xtreme. Just take your time and keep the screws organized as you take them out. It will likely take about 20-30 mins as you slowly disassemble and reassemble the speaker.The new battery works great and it's an easy "unplug the old battery, plug in the new battery" once you get it all apart. I suspect the amp-hours aren't quite the same as the original so you might not get the full amount of hours of run-time compared to the original battery but mine has lasted for hours at high-volume and I've very pleased. I can actually use the speaker again, 5-stars all around!

Worth the small investment

I love my jbl speaker this put my speaker back to work with out all way been plug not too bad to install YouTube has videos how to replace the batterie

Needed to replace my battery in my JBL Extreme for a few years now. Finally got off my but and order the replacement battery. Arrived next day, tools and battery included, 30 minutes later had the battery swapped out and started playing music again. Didn't follow the youtube video on how to replace the battery as it's pretty straight forward.

Old battery was tired and wore out. This new battery works great and has a long battery life.
