I use this to make the Middle Eastern Street Cart Bowls from Hello Fresh. Very popular recipe in my household.

I really love this spice mix. I use it mostly in sweet rather than savory dishes. It’s great in both. For anyone unfamiliar with this spice - it’s very close to the flavor profile of “pumpkin pie spice” and I actually prefer it. It’s a great economical replacement for PPS too.

This is a better quality allspice than I have ever found before. I did not use the grocery store brands that taste like pocket lint. I ground my own allspice. Then I tried this! It is ground from a higher quality allspice than I ever found, so even though it is not freshly ground, it still is far more tasty and fragrant than anything I've ever tried before. It used to be that a grocery store bottle of allspice would last years in our kitchen, being used occasionally for a cookie recipe. You'd think that such a large bottle would last a decade, but it lasted only two months in this household. We use it in everything we can think of: protein shakes, smoothies, teas and toddies, baked goods, even savory dishes. It has an incredible flavor and potent aroma. We purchase anything sold by Ziyad because our experience with them has always redefined our expectations of quality. A super bargain even if it was nothing special. This is so great that it could command a much higher price.

I can't give it 5 stars simply because I have never tried a similar seasoning blend and have no basis for comparison. Having said that, I have used this 7-Spice seasoning blend to make a beef braise. It was very complimentary to the braise and the braise garnered high praise from my wife. I thought it was excellent too if I say so myself. It is likely I will test another brand or concoct a blend myself from this or that recipe as it is my wont to do so. However, I have this very good product to fall back on should other brands fail to impress me. The next test will be lamb and beef kufta where the seasoning will be the dominant factor in my results. We shall see.

There's no other company on the market as good quality as this .I'm reviewing the Anise seeds, you get the best aromatic and flavorful rice. It also goes very well with the gulf biryani and aleppo pepper.

I had Shawarma Chicken recently at the Goat’s Beard, a restaurant in Manayunk PA. It was amazing.I spatchcocked a chicken and marinated it in shawarma spice, lemon juice, and extra virgin olive oil.I started it on the stove and finished it in a hot oven. I served it on a pita. Amazing and easy.Give it a try. If you don’t have knife skills use chicken thighs for a moist quick meal that will make you look like a professional.

No flavor. I used half of a bottle on one batch of falafels and still not enough flavor. I have purchased the Ziyad falafel mix in the past and loved the flavor, thus the purchase of the spice, but, they did not compare. It also would have been helpful if Ziyad had recipe suggestions on their website or the bottle.
