7000mAh for JBL Charge 3 Battery GSP1029102A Replacement Charge3 3.7V

My Charge 3 JBL Speaker has been great for 6 or 7 years but had started running down after a full charge in only a day or two. I decided to look at YouTube for instructions on how to replace the battery. Sure enough they are there. I ordered this from the YouTube link provided (in the comments with the video) and when the battery arrived, sat down and followed it step by step.I will add one thing. You should make sure you have a Phillips screwdriver with a proper tip. (#1 tip or even a #0 tip). This is next sharper than a #2 tip - which most people own. This battery comes with a phillips driver that you can make work but you will hate life after a few minutes. Just get a decent screwdriver not a tiny Fisher Price model that this comes with.Also, if you have someone who can video you removing the screws (go slow and make sure they can get a good shot of each screw location) then you may just manage to put them all back!! I was pretty careful and when all was said and done I had a new battery and everything in place and screwed down AND TWO EXTRA SCREWS!! This was installing a battery in my unit and no screws came with it - so obviously I missed two but there are MANY screws to make sure it is properly sealed and water proof. If you do what I recommend and document you will be fine. Also, the YouTube Video was of a Charge 3 that was not identical to what I was doing - so I could not review the video to see where I missed a couple of screws since it was different enough to not be a fix. It did show the important parts of how the heck to get into the unit and how to remove one of the end caps. Just go slow and steady and watch carefully to get it open without damaging the clips that must snap back together when you are done!! It works perfectly and I am still running two weeks later on the charge from the factory!! Problem solved!

Had no idea our $300 speaker simply needed a new battery. JBL speakers look like there's no trap door for a battery, aside from having to take them apart. We were wrong! There's a hidden trap door that allows you to open and replace the battery very easily. If your speaker keeps cutting our during playing or not charging, you need a new battery & this is the battery to get. Simple replacement instructions. Glad we found this before deciding to junk our speaker.

Nice replacement battery for JBL Charge 3

This is the second replacement battery I've ordered to replace a failing one in my second JBL Charge 3.The battery is fine so far and came in basic packaging along with a spatula and screwdriver. Both of these were poor but useable. So overall OK value and no problems with install. Marked down to four as the last battery I ordered cam with far better spatula and screwdriver.

Worked perfectly in a JBL Charge 3. Battery seems to hold up well. The tools are good enough for one installation.

I tried this before replacing my JBL speaker.I installed it after watching a couple of videos and it fixed my problem!This battery fit based on the speaker model and worked immediately.

I have NO idea how old this JBL Charge 3 really is, but she had it when I met her about five years ago. And it gets TONS of use because she not only takes it on trips but also in her car (she refuses to upgrade her car radio head unit). When it stopped taking a charge, she instantly assumed it was the cord and purchased another. After that didn’t work, it was my turn to triage. I googled and determined it could have been a number of issues. I figured out it was not the cord, the block, and resetting wasn’t working (I wasn’t able to because it wasn’t holding a charge at all). She was surprised when I told her it was probably the battery…didn’t know it had one. I explained that anything that you plug in and can use means that charge is being stored somewhere!Anyways, I mentioned not knowing the age. This came into play as a few of the nonessential clips broke getting the casing off. After taking the screw out, I had to pry the end cap closest to the battery compartment (step#5) with a hammer and flat head because it wouldn’t budge with hand twisting. Finally, it’s we’re back in business!
